Doubling down on misogynism, Herman Cain calls Nancy Pelosi a “Princess”
Doubling down on misogynistic attitudes, Herman Cain and his campaign continue to show a lack of respect for women when he said this during the Republican debate:
You didn’t hear about it in the previous Congress because Princess Nancy sent it to committee and it stayed there, Cain said at the debate in Michigan.
Talking Points Memo reports that “the crowd cheered, and Cain’s campaign was so fond of the line they blasted it out on Twitter.”
It is common sense that when you are under fire for the way you treat women, you need to monitor what comes out of your mouth. But it appears that Herman Cain believes he is above that.
After the debate, CNBC asked him about the statement and he had regretted making it given the sexual harassment accusations and claims.
Cain said, that was a statement that I obviously should not have made, but I was trying to make a point.
With each passing day, one has to wonder when the Republican Party became so classless and immature. But then again, being called “Princess Nancy” is better than being called “Naughty-Hands Herman.”
